(Senate Bill 3204) to eliminate fee sticker requirements has been joined with another bill
Dear NAC Members–
This week the NAC-backed measure (Senate Bill 3204) that will eliminate the harmful ATM external fee sticker requirement has been joined with another bill (Senate Bill 2099) that includes the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau among the agencies required to keep privileged business information confidential — and the new combined measure is gaining support and momentum in the Senate.
Sens. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., and Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., signed on as cosponsors Wednesday, raising the total cosponsors to 10. Hill reports have described Corker’s cosponsorship as a key development, noting that he was “dropping his opposition” to the privileged information measure in agreeing to back the new bill. The ATM fee sticker measure, a revision to the Electronic Funds Transfer Act, and the privileged information measure have already won House passage. Lead senators on S. 3394 are now working to pave the way for passage, hopefully by unanimous consent. If it clears the Senate, it will go back to the House for a final vote on passage.
Please contact your Senators asap and ask them to support prompt passage of S.3394.

All you need to say in your message is that you are asking for the Senator’s support of S. 3394 which is a good and necessary bi-partisan measure that is important to your business and to the state. The bill will eliminate frivolous litigation and protect both the legitimate interests of ATM businesses and consumers throughout the nation.
Thank you for your assistance with this initiative and we will continue to keep you posted as developments unfold.
